God's Love and Ours.

Many people may know that I am a HUGE fan of the Olympic games and this year having one of my friends go to the games just adds excitement. After watching the breath taking opening ceremony in high definition and seeing how incredible the change China has made in cleaning and beautifying Beijing, the hype left me wanting more.
However, while looking at today's top stories on CBC, I happen to stumble on an interesting article.

It saddens me that this is only one group of many that are tarnishing the name of God and what church is to the non-believing world. Not only that but the simple idea of turning someones funeral into a protest just seems wrong to me even on a secular level. Call me a pessimist but I feel like there is so little that we can do as Christians besides living out our own faith as a testament to HIS Holy name.

I am just left wondering: How can we Be the Change?

The Pursuit of Perfection - Moments

A Moment If You Please
Moments Can Be Short
Moments Can Be Long

There Are Moments Of Joy
Moments Of Sorrow
Moments Of Passion

Moments You’ll Never Forget
Moments You’ve Already Forgotten
Moments You Didn’t Get

There Are Awkward Moments
Senior Moments
Moments Of Truth
And Momentary Lapses In Judgment

People Who Ask For A Moment
Share A Moment
I Need A Moment
You Got A Moment?
Hey, Wait A Moment

You Can Take A Moment
Make A Moment
Spoil A Moment
And If All The Stars Line In Just The Right Moment,
That Moment Can Be Perfect

Moments Can Define You
Moments Can Delight You
And Moments Can Change Your Life

Here’s To The Moment And
Squeezing All You Can Out Of Every Last Single One Of Them

Pursue The Moment

Oh the Joys of Yonge Street.

Yesterday, after perusing the shops on Queen street West and in the Eaton Centre, I felt pretty accomplished with my days exercise. But then I thought about how people have been asking me about my "training" and fundraising for the weekend walk to end breast cancer... which has been non existent due to laziness and hot temperatures.
So I decided to challenge my self to walk for another hour or so since i had already walked for 5 hours...

BUT that resulted in me walking from downtown all the way up to finch in SANDALS... which surprisingly only took about 3.5 hours without stopping (and then i decided to be lazy and take the VIVA from finch to richmond hill)

i wish i brought my camera with me ):

Loretto

I am really going to miss the Loretto girls, 3rd floor awesomeness and community...

the crazy floor events..

and the people who have helped me conquer so much... like the horse in queens park.. YEAH BABY!!

--------------

I remember the day I moved into Loretto was pretty overwhelming. For those who don't know, I had to move myself in because my family was busy doing other things And I was pretty sad at the fact that I had no one to share this new experience with. But it was not long after that I realized how strong the community was at Loretto. I know a lot of people look at Loretto as a very restrictive building, with all there rules of having to escort your guests, or man hours and what not. I must admit that even on my first day of living at Loretto, I vowed to never return and but I look back now and see what amazing things and experiences God has provided me with through living on res these past years and that the rules were just minor things to protect me and teach me what is right. It's really funny how things work out in life.

Anyway, I just want to Thank all the people who have made my first 2 Years of University so Bearable, and I promise I'll be back to visit!
Loves y'all!

Subliminal messages?

Over lunch today, a few of the girls and I had a conversation about lululemon, and the topic of a BAG scandal came up. Being the person I am, I had to Google it for myself. and here is what i found.

http://news.sympatico.msn.ctv.ca/Bell.Sympatico.CMS/CmsTemplates/FeedsArticleTemplate.aspx?NRMODE=Published&NRNODEGUID=%7B59915CF7-0036-4DF4-9BAF-DFD9C9090ABA%7D&NRORIGINALURL=%2FTopStories%2FContentPosting.aspx%3Ffeedname%3DCTV-TOPSTORIES_V2%26showbyline%3DTrue%26newsitemid%3DCTVNews%252F20080416%252FLululemon_controversy_080416&NRCACHEHINT=Guest&feedname=CTV-TOPSTORIES_V2&showbyline=True&newsitemid=CTVNews%2F20080416%2FLululemon_controversy_080416

low and behold, i went to the lululemon bag hanging on my door, and discovered that these messages really do exist, and if you hold the bag up to the light, you WILL discover these messages.

Anyway, just thought i'd share. its not like i'm going to stop shopping at lululemon.

Hello blog readers (all 2 of you)!

Anyway, if you feel like you'd want to donate, please go to www.endcancer.ca and sponsor me (jaynelle leung) or my team (project pink).

If you don't really feel like donating directly to the cause, I'm sure i'll be baking cookies to fundraise. so message me for cookie dates (:
